ON SATURDAY evening the Pet Porpoise Pool got up close and personal with
those who needed a boost.
For the seventh year running the Pet Porpoise Pool hosted a Dreamnight at the
Pool evening for chronically ill children and their families.
The event is an annual international festival whereby zoos and aquariums from
around the world host the kids and their families within the locality for a free
night of entertainment and laughter.
The evening allowed children and their families to have exclusive encounters
with animals as well as being treated like VIPs, providing a more intimate view
of the park than the average visitor.
This year the Pet Porpoise Pool had an overwhelming response from local
families, with more than 400 people attending the event.
Organisations represented in the packed poolside grandstand included Camp
Quality, the Make a Wish Foundation, Leukaemia Foundation, Early Intervention,
Northcott Disability Services and Starlight Foundation.
