Leanne Michaell Baker My favourite experience was when a green sea turtle was in the recovery tank & he was hitting his flipper onto the side of the tank each timeas it got in front of me so i decided to pat its flipper (I don't know if I was really allowed to but this seemed to be what he wanted). It stopped hitting while i did it then for probably the next half hour it would do laps of the pool then stop in front of me & hit the side of the pool until i'd pat him again. He would love it up putting his flipper higher out of the water to soak up the pats then repeat the process again & again. It was an extraordinary experience with a wild animal i will never forget. I didn't want to leave!

I went to Dolphin Marine Magic last year and had a wonderful time. I love cetacea and other marine mammals so it was a wonderful experience to see them all and learn so much. I also love taking photos of the animals and the up close encounters you get ♥ This is a photograph of my father who was very lucky enough to get to go up and feed Bucky/Zippy!!

I recently visited Dolphin Marine Magic with my Year 3 class. The program was varied, interesting and educational at the same time. The kids all had a fantastic time and learnt lots of new and interesting things about dolphins, seals, etc. They even took home a photo with a seal that many parents have commented on. This opportunity reminded me of my first experience at the Pet Porpoise Pool. I think it was 1975 or 1976. I have attached the photo that I took home......great experience, great memories. Thanks : )

Roxanne is my eldest
daughter and she has autism. I took her to Pet Porpoise when she was 8 years
old. We were given the lovely opportunity for her to swim with the dolphins. It
was a magical experience. The staff were absolutely fantastic in allowing
this to happen. As it was all done after hours. Roxanne was enthralled by it
all and I was overwhelmed. This was in 1994, way before it became as popular as
it is now. Roxanne is now 27. She has progressed a great deal from those early
years. I'm sure that experience had an influence on her. I now have a 10 year
old named Sage. I couldn't forgive myself if i didn't let her have an experience
as wonderful as the one we had years ago. Hopefully we are planning a trip soon
that will include a stopover at the park. I couldn't possibly just drive by.
We still offer special swims for people with disabilities, and we still have many of the same staff we did in 1994!

Hi, im asian, last dec. 13,2011 was my first time at dolphin marine magic, at that time im just here in australia for a holiday with my husband. It was also my first time to be kissed and tapped by a dolphin, they're so adorable and such a cutie. I am now staying here for good, and my father is here at the moment. i took him there and he was so happy to see the dolphin and seal, he said when he was a teen he used to went fishing with his father(deseaced) and caught lots of fish and dolphin will come near the boat and ask some fish, dad felt like a child again, he had kissed with dolphin and seal today, and me too for the 2nd time, i cant get enough. hehe. thank you so much.

In 2008 I took my 2 girls aged 14 & 12 to see Bucky & Zip & the other animals.
The reason we went back for a visit was when my girls were 5 & 3 ( Yr 2000) we visited there with my ex wife. After the show my ex wife took the girls to the gift shop to buy a soft toy of Bucky for my eldest and a smaller soft toy of Zip who were the stars of the show at that time. I stayed behind to change the film in my non digital camera. At that time you could wander around the pool unattended & everyone had left. I had my back to the pool and was hit in the back with a ball. I turned around and no-one was there so I tossed the ball in the pool and started to walk away & was hit again !
I turned around & bucky was on his tail 'speaking" & I realised that it was him throwing the ball to me !
We played for about 10 minutes because he wanted to !
It was one of the most magical experiences in my life so we played a vist again in 2008 and had photos with the dolphins and the seals
We recently saw bondi vet and saw Bucky & Zip and understood bucky was ill.
It touched us deeply as we all have a special bond with those 2 dolphins.
Bucky is showing all the signs of good health, however he is an aged animal with a history of cancer, but we are confident we will enjoy a number of years more with him. Regards Paige Sinclair CEO

My family and I went to marine Magic for my 26th birthday and it was such an amazing experience. I have always wanted to touch or play with a dolphin and have never had the opportunity before. As I was leaving the pool after the dolphin and seal show I was very happy after having such an intimate experience with Bucky my best dolphin friend ever. We were walking past the underwater viewing window on the big pool which had a mum, dad and baby dolphin in it. What happened there blew my mind as the baby dolphin came up to the window, looking me straight in the eyes and started to respond to my hand gestures. He even rolled over for me as well as shaking his head and following my finger as i moved it across the window of the pool. They are amazing creatures and I will never forget that experience. The staff were just lovely and very helpful answering my many questions. I would love to return and have spoken very highly to all my friends encouraging them to go and see it for them selves. The trip from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour was worth it. Love it, love it, love it.

On September 24th i entered a competition to swim with the dolphins with 3 of my friends, the competition was to write a caption for the photo that was uploaded on that day, it was of one of the friendly seals at the pet porpoise pool and a young boy, my caption was "its snuggle time and if you're lucky I'll seal it with a kiss". on September 25th 2012 i was scrolling through my facebook page and see congratulations Megan you've won the competition. I was so excited I've always loved dolphins and to get the chance to swim with them was a dream come true. On Friday the 30th of November myself and 3 of my closest friends arrived at the pet porpoise pool and watched the dolphin marine magic show then went to get ready to swim with Jet, at first jet didn't want to play so to encourage good behaviour we got out of the pool and jet came over to say hi, we all got back into the water to begin our interaction with jet, i was so amazed by how smart these amazing animals are, we learnt all about his markings and parts of his body and where bone and muscles are and what parts make the noises. We played ball, and we threw a ring to jet and everyone went under the water and he always brought it back to the one who threw it, we danced and played, it was amazing, i honestly cant explain how happy i was to be able to interact with jet and the rest of the dolphins at the pet porpoise pool, its truly a memory ill never forget. i have the photo that's uploaded with this testimonial in my lounge room so i can remember how amazing my experience was. I look forward to doing it again soon.

It was 12 or more years ago I experienced the magic of a lifetime with the most gorgeous dolphins i've ever seen and swam with bucky, zippy and calamity a moment I hold dearly. I remember I swam with them for my 10th birthday. I love them more than so many things and I had the privilege of volunteering there 3yrs ago for 3 months and I miss it to this day as life took me to brisbane.
